Door of Hope, a faith-based organization that seeks to end the cycle of homelessness for families in Greater Pasadena, held a special “Hope for the Future” reception at the home of Shauna and John Barger last week. More than 100 people in attendance helped raise $125,000 for Door of Hope, which provides families with case management and other services “to empower families to achieve the ultimate goal of finding and maintaining housing and providing a better future for their children.” Megan Katerjian, who serves as the organization’s executive director, spoke to those in attendance about Door of Hope’s funding plans to serve families in need over the next three years.
