For Valentine Elementary School’s recent Community Outreach project, students first placed their handprints on a big banner that was recently presented to both the San Marino Police and Fire departments in thanks for their service and support of the entire community. The students were excited to have so many Fire and Police visitors. The guests played some handball and basketball and impressed everyone with their jump-roping skills ¬while wearing 25 lbs of gear. Organizing the project were Community Outreach co-chairs Cindy Yung and Dana Lovinger.
