Valentine Elementary School held its annual Veterans Day Assembly recently. The event included patriotic songs, the reading of letters to veterans written by 3rd- through 5th-grade students and recognition of veterans related to current students. Veterans Day Assembly chairs Allison McCroskey and Mary Buckley also organized special decorations, flowers and the color guard to post the colors for the Pledge of Allegiance.
