Carver Elementary School 5th-graders and their families gathered in the campus auditorium for their promotion ceremony on Wednesday, May 29. The program included a presentation of many student awards, including: the J.P. Blecksmith Award, Lily Mata and Bradley Wong; Sigrid Billis Sportsmanship Award: Sasha Ortiz and Nicholas Liu; Marilyn Finton Reading Award: Ayla Greer and Jayden Zhu; and the Principal’s Award for Citizenship: Sydney Park and Santiago Monroy. Principal Michael Lin thanked faculty and families for a successful year and wished the students well in their middle-school years. Miranda Liu and Wendy Yang organized the end-of-year activities.
