Carver Elementary School students recently enjoyed a special British afternoon tea with Rose Princess Sherry Ma, a senior at San Marino High School. Ma took questions from the kids and taught them the signature Rose Parade wave. Children enjoyed tea and tea sandwiches with other delicacies, as well as playing Rose Princess-themed games and building miniature Rose Parade floats. The tea was a fixed-bid event offered by the Carver PTA during its parent party and was hosted by Cathy Newton, Stephanie Raleigh, Marci Wendling and Lisa Begerow at the Newton home.
