Despite staff’s lack of support for the construction of an attached one-car garage, porch and side yard wall at 1975 Windsor Road, the Design Review Committee unanimously approved the project at their last DRC meeting on Wednesday, April 15.
Eva Choi said staff could not support it because an attached garage like this was unusual in the neighborhood. Architect Georgie Kajer made her case stating that the space is already a bit unusual since it is a corner house, and the proposed plans are within the guidelines.
One goal, Kajer said, is to take care of the landscaping issues by better using the space. Another goal is to create a weatherproof covering of the door.
San Marino resident Steve Talt spoke in favor of the proposal.
