San Marino Schools Foundation Trustees kicked off the 2015-16 Annual Campaign. Foundation President John Simpson welcomed the 10 new trustees, and Vice Presidents Michele Canon and Jennifer Chuang discussed committee activities. School Board President Lisa Link and Assistant Superintendent, Business Services Julie Boucher thanked the Trustees on behalf of the District, with Link providing an overview of the numerous positive changes implemented at each campus this year thanks to the financial support provided by donors to the Foundation. Recognizing that San Marino Unified will remain in the lowest allocation category and will receive thousands of dollars less in state funding than other districts, the focus of this year’s Annual Campaign is “Fill The Funding Gap” by achieving 100 percent district family participation and significant support from the general community.
