The National PTA Reflections program is an arts recognition and achievement program for students. The Reflections Program provides a platform for students to express themselves creatively and to receive positive recognition for original works of art inspired by a pre-selected theme while increasing community awareness of the importance of the arts in education.

The San Marino PTA Council will host a Showcase Open House to present the work of local entries on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. in the San Marino Unified School District Office board room. The event is free and open to the public.

The 2015-2016 Theme is… “Let Your Imagination Fly”.  The Reflections Program is one of the biggest events that involves our four school units. Students may submit an entry in any of the six arts areas. They are Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. Students may enter more than one work of art, one in each category. Entries are first judged at the local unit level, and if chosen at the council, district, state and national levels. The deadline for entries is Friday, Oct. 23 at 3 p.m.  Rules and information can be found on www.capta.org.
