‘A Christmas Carol’ Now Playing at A Noise Within Theater

A Noise Within is bringing a holiday classic to life – “A Christmas Carol.”

The play has been adapted from the Charles Dickens novel for the fourth consecutive year, and stays true to the original. It premiered on Dec. 5 and continues through Dec. 23.

“Every word is taken from the novel,” said Producing Artistic Director Geoff Elliott, who also plays Scrooge. “There’s no reason in the world to fix it.”

The tale centers around Ebenezer Scrooge, a “miserly curmudgeon,” who is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come. Scrooge sees visions of what his life has become and what it maybe if he continues on his current path, and he realizes he needs to make a change.

“I truly do believe this is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, story of forgiveness,” Elliot added stating Scrooge fully takes his second chance and uses it for good.
