Library Foundation’s Bookmark Design Contest Under Way

Local children and teens have to wait no longer because the San Marino Public Library Foundation’s annual bookmark design competition has begun.

The 2016 Bookmark Design Contest with a theme of “Where do you want to go? Real or Imaginary” is accepting submissions from now until Dec. 17.

Six winners will be chosen and receive two tickets to Disneyland. Their designs also will be on display at Crowell Public Library.

“Each winner has a limited edition bookmark for two months that’s on display in the library,” said Cindy Chan, San Marino Public Library Foundation development director. “I make 2,500 copies of the bookmark. We distribute those in full.”

Two winners from each of the age groups – 8 and younger, 9-13 and 14-18 – will be chosen.

Entry forms for the 2016 Bookmark Design Contest can be found at Crowell Public Library and at www.crowellpubliclibrary.org.
