Nearly 100 Valentine Elementary School moms and friends recently gathered for a Girls’ Night In at the home of Danica and Mark Hughes. The event served to kick off the Valentine Parent Party 2017 fundraising festivities.
Girls’ Night In guests enjoyed appetizers from the Fresh Gourmet on Huntington Drive and contributed by bringing either monetary or donated items, which will support the Parent Party’s auction. The ladies were also able to purchase opportunity drawing tickets for a chance to win a fine jewelry prize. The event was coordinated by Valentine moms Danica Hughes and Maren Pellant.
This year’s Parent Party, “Sweet Magnolia Nights,” will be held on Saturday, April 8. The Parent Party is Valentine PTA’s largest fundraiser of the year. Proceeds from this and other PTA events help support some of the school’s academic enrichment programs related to art, music, computer, library, physical education and science.
