Rotary, City Club to Host Royal Court

In a first of its kind joint meeting, the San Marino City Club and the Rotary Club of San Marino are partnering to host the 2022 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Queen and Royal Court at a meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 16.
The event will be held in the San Marino Center with a reception at 6 p.m. and dinner following at 6:30 p.m.

According to the Tournament’s website, the Rose Queen and members of the Royal Court serve as ambassadors for the Tournament of Roses, the Pasadena community and greater Los Angeles area. Each member will receive a $7,500 educational scholarship.
The finalists were chosen from among hundreds of applicants based on criteria that include public speaking, academic achievement, youth leadership and involvement in the community and their schools. The theme for the 133rd Rose Parade is “Dream. Believe. Achieve.”
Members of the 2022 Royal Court include Queen Nadia Chung, La Cañada High School; Jeannine Briggs, John Marshall Fundamental High School; Abigail Griffith, Pasadena High School; Jaeda Walden, La Cañada High School; Swetha Somasundaram, Arcadia High School; Ava Feldman, South Pasadena High School and McKenzie Street, Flintridge Sacred Heart.
Doors to the San Marino Center will open at 5:45 p.m. For those unable to attend in-person, the meeting will also be available to register via Zoom webinar.
All participants will be required to show proof of vaccination or a current negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the meeting. Masks will be required to be worn inside the San Marino Center except when eating or drinking. Please enter the San Marino Center from Huntington Drive.
