These are the hallmarks of the Flintridge Preparatory School experience, and we invite you to imagine yourself here for middle school and high school.
We believe all students should thrive in adolescence, and we see these four or six years not as a steppingstone, but as a journey. Equally important to our students’ academic development is their social, emotional and physical growth. In Prep’s nurturing and supportive community, connection is central. Prep students love to learn, and they love to collaborate and lead in community with others.
Although we are serious about academics, we try not to take ourselves too seriously. Students take advantage of curricular and extracurricular programs that prioritize inquiry, curiosity and compassion, helping them hone the skills needed to listen, create and problem solve.
Through athletics and student-led clubs to creative writing and debate, through independent research and performing arts to global studies initiatives and projects in the makerspace, Prep students understand problems from multiple perspectives, igniting their desire to positively transform the world.
