The Learning Castle and its upper school, La Cañada Preparatory, have been the academic summer alternative in the Los Angeles area for 30 years. TLC, serving 4-year-olds through 3rd grade, and LCP, serving 4th- through 8th-grades, are WASC-accredited schools that provide an individualized curriculum, custom-tailored for each student’s specific needs.
Review, reinforcement and advancement are not only the primary goals of the Learning Castle’s and La Cañada Preparatory’s Summer School Program, but also the fundamental ingredients for a successful transition between grade levels. With small teacher-to-student ratios focusing on core subjects and teachers who specialize in single subjects, the TLC and LCP program is, year in and year out, the popular academic choice for summer studies.
The Summer School Program is a six-week educational program divided into two separate three-week sessions. Students can take a single session or choose both sessions and receive a discounted rate.
Each student’s level is assessed and lesson plans are tailored to meet individual goals. Individual learning styles are addressed, as well as productivity and time management. Students are provided with all of the materials needed at no additional cost.
