PUSD Plans for a Fun Summer of Learning

What do coding, cooking, cheerleading and college credits have in common? They’re just a few of the fun learning options available this summer for preschool through 12th-grade students in the Pasadena Unified School District.
This summer, the PUSD Expanded Learning Programs department will offer programs designed to meet the academic, enrichment and social-emotional needs of PUSD students. Summer school has something for everyone, for students of all ages, and at various times and locations throughout the community.
“Our courses offer countless learning opportunities to help students experience academic success, but fun is a key factor in our courses as well. We want kids to expand their horizons, make new friends, and create memories that last a lifetime,” said PUSD Expanded Learning Programs Director Maria Toliver.
PUSD summer programs welcome the participation of all pre-K-12 students currently enrolled in a Pasadena Unified School District school.
The 2023 Summer Learning Opportunities Catalog includes a listing of more than 15 programs, including those sponsored by PUSD. The catalog also includes summer programs offered by PUSD community partners such as the Pasadena Educational Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of Pasadena and the City of Pasadena. For some programs, residence in the district or attendance at a PUSD school is not required.
Pasadena LEARNs, which stands for “Leading Educational Achievement and Revitalizing Neighborhoods,” and other summer programs begin enrolling on Feb. 27. Spaces are limited. Apply now! See the catalog and enroll for summer 2023 now at pusd.us/summer.
