San Marino Police Department Crime Report Jan. 14 – 20

Police responded to the 2900 block of Huntington Drive at 5:17 p.m. on Jan. 16 regarding a person seen tampering with a water pipe at the rear of a business. Responding officers located and identified the suspect. During questioning, the man admitted to tampering with the water pipe, police said. A records check revealed the suspect had an outstanding warrant out of LAPD for trespassing.

Police were called to the area of Park Place in response to a reported sexual assault that occurred at 9:38 a.m. on Jan. 16. A report was taken from the victim, but no suspect has been taken into custody.

A vehicle burglary was reported in the 800 block of Winston Avenue at 10:10 a.m. on Jan. 16. Items were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

The San Marino Police Department had 558 calls for service between Sunday, Jan. 14, and Saturday, Jan. 20. There was one residential burglary during this time frame. There have been two residential burglaries reported so far this year. Information was gathered from a department memorandum summarizing key incidents handled during this period.
