San Marino Police Department Crime Report Feb. 4 – 10

A residential burglary was reported in the 1300 block of Oxford Road at 7:33 a.m. on Feb. 5. Witnesses observed three male subjects running north of a residence where a security alarm could be heard. Police were called to the scene, and upon further investigation found that an unoccupied residence was broken into from a window located in the backyard. No suspects were located in the area.

SMPD was dispatched to a commercial burglary in the 2500 block of Mission Street regarding an audible alarm at 2:56 a.m. on Feb. 7. Upon arrival, officers located a smashed front door to the property. Officers conducted a search of the business, and no suspects were located.

An unknown subject attempted to pry open the door of a business in the 2600 block of Mission Street at 8:42 a.m. on Feb. 10. No suspects were located due to a time delay in reporting, police said.

The San Marino Police Department had 501 calls for service between Sunday, Feb. 4, and Saturday, Feb. 10. There was one residential burglary, one commercial burglary and one attempted commercial burglary reported during the reporting week. There have been four residential burglaries reported so far this year. Information was gathered from a department memorandum summarizing key incidents handled during this period.
