San Marino Egg Hunt Turns Into Take-Home Event

Due to forecasted rainy weather, this year’s “Great San Marino Egg Hunt” will take on a different form on Saturday, March 30.

Instead of an in-person event at Lacy Park, the festivities will move to the San Marino Community Center, where anyone with a purchased wristband can pick up an egg hunt kit to take home between 9-11 a.m.

For those who have not yet purchased a wristband, they will be available until Friday, March 29, at 11 a.m.

Anyone who cannot make it to the pick-up event can drop by the San Marino Community Center starting Thursday, March 28, or between Monday, April 1, and Friday, April 5, during operating hours.

The San Marino Community Center is located at 1800 Huntington Drive. For more information regarding the pick-up event, call the Recreation Division at (626) 403-2200.

Additionally, the accompanying San Marino Firefighters Association’s pancake breakfast, which was also originally scheduled to be held at Lacy Park, has been rescheduled. It will now be held on Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will be in conjunction with the city’s “Rock Lacy!” band competition, which starts as noon.

Tickets for the pancake breakfast can still be purchased for $5 at the Community Center through April 19 at 11 a.m. Those interested in the pancake breakfast can receive more details by calling the San Marino Fire Department at (626) 300-0735.
