Eunice Facchetti | Obituary

Eunice Facchetti was born on June 23, 1941 in the town of Orleans, Brazil, to Carlos and Esther Ukstin. Eunice’s father was a Baptist pastor who established a number of churches in Brazil, including in some indigenous regions of the country. Eunice had three brothers, Jonas, Jose, and Carlos (“Cico”), and a sister, Nancy.

In 1969 she came to the United States to visit her sister. While she was visiting, she met Nolberto Facchetti and they fell in love. They married in November, 1969 in Las Vegas. Unable to have children of their own, they decided to adopt. In July 1974 they adopted Christopher Facchetti and in June 1979 they adopted Adrianos Facchetti. Christopher and Adrianos were her pride and joy.

Eunice was also proud of her Brazilian heritage. She taught Christopher and Adrianos her native tongue, and gave them the precious gift of dual Brazilian and United States Citizenship.

Eunice began attending Grace Community Church in 1975. She attended the first bible study meeting of the Spanish department and had been active in it for over four decades. She loved participating in activities in the Spanish ministry and enjoyed the company of her brothers and sisters in Christ.

She was also involved with the Gideon’s Auxiliary Ministry, in which she participated in passing out bibles at hospitals, doctors’ offices, and assisted-living facilities.

Eunice also had a clear aesthetic point of view and an appreciation for beauty. Whether it was a visit to Descanso Gardens to see God’s wonderful creation or whether it was an idea to redecorate the home, she always had a strong opinion and a desire to transform her ideas into reality to match her vision.

Eunice is survived by her husband, Nolberto Facchetti; her sons Christopher Facchetti and Adrianos Facchetti; and her grandchildren Ashley Facchetti, Haden Facchetti, Geneva Facchetti, and Severin Facchetti.

We all miss her very much.
