A multitude of Huntington Middle School families and community members gathered at the festive “Day of the Dead” Hauntington Breakfast fundraiser this past weekend on the school’s campus. Fresh fall flowers adorned the VIP Pancake Breakfast tables, and impressive gigantic sugar skulls and other colorful decorative elements served as the backdrop to the stage where students performed throughout the morning. DJ Wildstyle also entertained the crowds with upbeat tunes. Face painting, hairstyling, pumpkin decorating and Nerf games were among the many booths and activities. The most spirited guests and committee members dressed in traditional Day of the Dead attire and accessories, including bright floral headpieces. Delicious baked goods, homemade Chinese food prepared by a team of more than a dozen parents and many other refreshments were available for purchase. Proceeds from this large-scale annual fundraiser help support student enrichment. Event co-chairs were Julie Foong and David Wang.
