The Blessing of the Animals took place this morning at The Gooden School in Sierra Madre.
Students and families brought their pets to be blessed in a special service on the campus of the school. Animals have in previous years included horses, ducks, lizards, snakes, iguanas, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits and turtles.
Founded in 1975, The Gooden School is an independent Episcopal school, kindergarten through eighth grade, in Sierra Madre. Reflecting Gooden’s high academic standards, reputation for the arts and community service, graduates are accepted by many of the finest independent high schools and universities.
