San Marino High School Hosts Special Olympics

By Krista Daly

Children with special needs came to San Marino High School from all across the San Gabriel Valley to participate in the annual Special Olympics event on Friday, March 27.

The school has hosted the event for more than 10 years, providing the location, sound system and numerous volunteers. The San Gabriel Valley Special Olympics Organization runs the event itself.

“It’s a great opportunity for our kids  to do something they like – like running,” said Jose Caire, San Marino High School ASB/Activities director.
