New San Marino Home Development Requires More Notification

By Krista Daly

For San Marino residents who are interested in the proposed tear down of a neighbor’s home, it will now be much easier to get information on those plans.

The San Marino City Council approved an ordinance that will require applicants to the Design Review Committee or Planning Commission to post a sign in their front yard detailing their proposal. The sign must include at a minimum the date and location of the meeting, the address of the property, the case number and a description of the project.

This three by four feet sign must be located about 5-10 feet from the property line and it needs to be posted at least 10 days before the public hearing held by the Design Review Committee or Planning Commission.
