Two about-to-be seniors at San Marino High School were all smiles while recounting their experience at the 2015 edition of Boys State, which was held last month at California State University, Sacramento.
Emerson Liu and Chaz Davis enjoyed separate yet similar experiences among the 1,070 participants chosen by the American Legion through an interview process that took place in the spring.
Attendees participate in a mock city, county and state government operated by students selected to various offices. Boys State activities include legislative sessions, court proceedings, law enforcement presentations, assemblies, bands, choruses and recreational programs.
