Titans Show Glimpses of Excellence In Annual Football Preview

It was difficult to think about football on Saturday, Aug. 15 when human instinct merely considered survival. With temperatures well over 100 degrees on the Titan Stadium turf, all of the 70-plus athletes in the San Marino High School football program donned either white or blue and showed their wares.
Leading off were the upstart freshmen, who wowed the shade-seeking audience with strong line play and a diversified offense.
Quarterback Kade Wentz connected repeatedly with wide receiver Jacob Leftwich while tailback Steven Baraza was dynamic at tailback.
The frosh line also shows potential, with tackle Myles Keys leading the charge.
