The proposed height of 1360 Belhaven Road was the cause of some concern for the majority of San Marino’s Design Review Committee members as they reviewed the project on Wednesday, Aug. 19.
The design was for a one-story addition and new front porch for property owner ZL Properties, LLC, managed by Zexuan Lu. In an effort to maintain the pitch of the roof for the addition, the house ended up increasing a foot and 9 inches in height bringing the height to 19 feet.
Neighbor Charles Martinson voiced concern over the additional height.
“If you can get back to the original height, I think it would be a great project,” he said.
