Corinna Wong, the newest member to the Design Review Committee, took the Oath of Office on Wednesday, Oct. 7. She replaced Valerie Flores, who resigned at the end of July, over the city’s strategy in dealing with mansionization in San Marino.
Wong is a corporate/securities attorney as well as a licensed real estate broker. She said she has always been involved with her family’s investment and development of multi-family units.
She applied to become a DRC member in order to “have a say and have a hand in helping maintain the aesthetics of San Marino.” Wong went through the design review process herself when she was remodeling her home, which she believes will add a beneficial perspective to the committee.
