Titanium Robotics Gears Up for Competition Season

Titanium Robotics will soon be heading into its competition season in January.

“Our season starts in January and it’s six weeks long,” Engineering President Jessica Cameron said. “We build a fully-functioning robot during that time. After that, we take it to competitions. We’re going to two this year.”

She continued, “We’re an FRC Team, which is FIRST Robotics Competition.”

The San Marino High School-based team has yet to find out what challenge it will face in both competitions.

“The first day that our season starts (Jan. 9) is the day that we find out what game we’re going to have to play,” Business President Sarah Hasel said.

After tirelessly working on the robot for six weeks, the team has to cover it with a large plastic bag and wait for competition.
