Titan Athletic Boosters, or TAB, was formed to support and benefit all sports programs at San Marino High School. This umbrella organization consists of at least one parent representative from each varsity sport to assist and support philanthropic projects that benefit SMHS sports programs.
The current TAB board of directors consists of President Birgit Castleman, Treasurer Patty Castreje and Secretary Yvette Nikoui-Smith. SMHS Vice Principal Dr. Eric Bergmann and Athletic Director D.R. Moreland serve as advisers to the group.
The monthly meetings are an open forum to aid in the communication between each sport as well as with the administration at SMHS in regards to district policies and CIF rules which govern high school sports.
“By instilling greater transparency in spending, clearer financial reporting, and more consistent communication, Titan Athletic Boosters helps each booster group support their respective sports in a more effective manner,” Castleman told The Tribune.
Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month in the career center at San Marino High School and are open to the public.
