Former San Marino Unified School District Superintendent Jack Rose, above, middle, was honored by the San Marino School Board Wednesday night at its joint meeting with the San Marino City Council. School Board President Nam Jack called Rose, who spent 26 years in San Marino and 40 years in education, “our wonderful treasure.” Rose steered the district through its first bond project, which modernized facilities at all four school sites.
