The Wildlife Learning Center brought several exotic animals for the children at Crowell Library last Thursday. The center, based in Sylmar, rescues and breeds different animals both to preserve the species and to inform children of their importance in the world.
Briana Robinson brought animals from as far north as the Arctic Circle and as far south as Madagascar for the audience to see and interact with. Audience participation was a large part of the program, and the knowledge about the animals went beyond the conventional wisdom of those shown.
There are two more children’s programs this summer in the Barth Community Room. Programs start at 1:30 p.m. and run for one hour. Information can be found at crowellpubliclibrary.com.
