The Huntington Middle School choirs held their first choral performance titled “Heart and Home: The Choral Music of Shawn Kirchner and Other American Composers” recently in the Rothenberg Auditorium at the Huntington Library. Under the direction of Derek Jamieson and accompaniment of Connie Washburn, the program featured the works of renowned Los Angeles-based composer Shawn Kirchner as well as works by Randall Thompson, Aaron Copland, Eric Whitacre and other American composers.
