The entire Valentine Elementary School community recently took a “Paws for Books” at the school’s annual Book Fair. The three-day event, which aims to promote a love of reading, offered a wide selection of books and novelty items. Local author and illustrator Priscilla Burris visited the school to read and sign her book “Hello School.” On Family Night, author Suzanne Lang read from her latest “Grumpy Monkey” book and families enjoyed food and dessert trucks. The Book Fair was chaired by Marisa Kelly, Janice Segimoto, Shannon Snaer and Fonda Chen.
