NCL Provides Gifts for Pediatric Patients

For nearly 40 years, the San Marino Area Chapter of National Charity League has partnered with Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center to provide holiday gifts for critically ill pediatric patients and their siblings at an annual Christmas event called the Shop-a-Thon. That tradition was renewed on Saturday, as the chapter distributed the presents at the medical facility in Los Angeles. Families that were screened by the hospital’s Social Service Department were invited to come to LAC + USC to pick up Santa bags full of toys for their children.
NCL San Marino mothers and daughters donate time, money and gifts to help meet the needs of the children, ranging from infants to teenagers. It’s the chapter’s largest philanthropic event of the year.
