San Marino’s Old Mill will enter a new age on Saturday, Sept. 26, when it hosts the first virtual “Music Under the Stars” with a 40-minute piano and violin concert beginning at 7 p.m.
The concert will feature pianist Vanessa Fadial and violinist Cheryl Norman-Brick playing musical selections that include J.S. Bach’s Sonata No. 2 for Unaccompanied Violin, Mozart Sonata in E Minor No. 21 for Violin and Piano, Debussy Sonata for Violin and Piano, Brahms Intermezzo for Piano Opus 118, No. 2 and Wieniawski Polonaise Brilliante Opus 4.
Fadial, who currently serves on the piano and chamber music faculty at the Colburn School in Los Angeles, has been described as a breathtaking pianist whose warmth and endearing personality shine through all of her solo and chamber music performances.
Norman-Brick has a multifaceted career as a soloist, chamber musician, world-class orchestral player and professional recording artist. She has toured worldwide with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and played on 100 movie and television scores.
The concert can be experienced at the Old Mill El Molino Viejo YouTube page, old-mill.org or the group’s Facebook page, El Molino Viejo.
