San Marino High School’s cross-country team ran in a number of heats at the Woodbridge Invitational last week, culminating in varsity races under the lights at Irvine Great Park in a meet that featured many schools from both Orange and Los Angeles counties.
Benjamin Hughes ran a personal record 14:57 for the 3-mile course, making him the fourth-fastest runner of the night.
Meanwhile, sophomore Kayla Giddings ran a personal best 18:05 to finish 33rd in the girls’ varsity race.
San Marino hosts this afternoon’s Rio Hondo League Meet #1, which will take place in Lacy Park. The first race will begin at 3:30 p.m.
