Waverly School’s Focus: Collaboration, Discussion, Exploration

Whether entering at preschool, elementary, middle or high school, Waverly School students benefit from a progressive teaching and learning environment that values inquiry, debate, creativity and critical thinking within a close, collaborative community, according to Head of School Clarke Weatherspoon.
“We are a progressive school that cares about people,” he said. “We learn by doing. Our classes emphasize collaboration, discussion and tinkering. We ask students to learn about themselves and to share what they find. We do this through exploring our personal and familial identities, reflecting on essential questions, and honoring the experiences of others.”
Waverly has three separate campuses and a 1-acre farm within walking distance. It is located in Pasadena convenient to the 210 and 134 freeways.
