The San Marino Chinese School recently hosted its Summer Fair at K.L. Carver Elementary School Auditorium on July 14.
The free, family-friendly event included student performances, music and food stalls for attendees.
The food stations were run by teachers and their students, with each stall offering many treats — among them were animal-shaped cookies — which were prepared by the school’s Talent Cooking class.
In that course, students learned many recipes for sticky rice leaf dumplings, water dumplings, sushi, cookies, pound cakes, Chinese noodles, bread (Man Tou), as well as others.
