San Marino Police Department Crime Report

A case of identity theft was reported on the 2300 block of Montecito Drive on Nov. 28 at 2:47 p.m. after an unknown suspect attempted to use a victim’s SIM card at a Verizon store in Pasadena. The victim also told police that they received an alert saying someone attempted to open a credit card in their name.

Unknown suspects shattered the glass door and entered a residence in the 2200 block of Adair Street on Dec. 2 at 9:36 a.m. The suspects ransacked multiple rooms and took miscellaneous items before leaving the location. There were no surveillance systems or alarm systems.

Officials received a report of an electric scooter that was found in a driveway in the 700 block of Winthrop Road on Dec. 2 at 4:15 p.m.

The San Marino Police Department had 596 calls for service between Sunday, Nov. 26, and Saturday, Dec. 2. There were two residential burglaries in this time frame. There have been 46 residential burglaries reported so far this year. Information was gathered from a department memorandum summarizing key incidents handled during this period.
