Rose Parade Rings in New Year

Paradegoers enjoyed another edition of the Tournament of Roses in Pasadena on New Year’s Day. The 135th Rose Parade featured floats created by nearby cities, including South Pasadena, La Cañada Flintridge and Burbank.

San Marino High School student William Meier was part of the parade, marching as one of the nine-member crew of Pasadena City College’s Tournament of Roses Herald Trumpets.

Pasadena Humane debuted its first float in 20 years, called “Feed the Love,” which celebrates the relationship between pets and their people.
