Committee Holds Meeting to Discuss City’s Hazard Plan

The San Marino Hazard Mitigation Plan Committee held its first meeting to discuss the update to the city’s Local Hazard Mitigation Plan on Feb. 8.

The HMPC consists of representatives from city departments, including fire, police, community development, and parks and Public Works, as well as representatives from the San Marino Unified School District.

Over the course of the meeting, the HMPC reviewed the goals of the previous LHMP and discussed potential hazards to be included in the updated plan.

The first of several opportunities for public engagement in the LHMP process will be at the March 18 meeting of the Public Safety Commission.
