San Marino Police Department Crime Report Feb. 25 – March 2

Officials received a call regarding a suspicious man and woman near Sierra Madre and California boulevards on Feb. 25 at 12:24 a.m. The man appeared to be intoxicated, running in the streets and knocking on doors in the area. He was arrested on charges of public intoxication and transported to Pasadena City Jail for booking.

At least one unknown suspect entered a residence in the 1200 block of Virginia Road on Feb. 26 at 6:52 a.m., pried a plywood door open, moved tools from inside the residence, and placed them on the front lawn. The tools were not taken, and no suspects were located in the area.

A vehicle burglary was reported in the 2000 block of Huntington Drive on Feb. 26 at 5:20 p.m. The victim’s vehicle had its front, passenger side window shattered by the suspect, who took miscellaneous items before fleeing the scene.

The San Marino Police Department had 501 calls for service between Sunday, Feb. 25, and Saturday, March 2. There were three residential burglaries, zero commercial burglaries and zero attempted commercial burglaries reported during the reporting week. There have been eight residential burglaries reported so far this year. Information was gathered from a department memorandum summarizing key incidents handled during this period.
