San Marino Police Department Crime Report March 17-23

A home in the 1400 block of Wilson Avenue was burglarized at 1:31 a.m. on March 17. According to police reports, an unknown suspect entered the residence through an unlocked rear sliding glass door. Upon entering, the suspect briefly encountered the victim in her bedroom, said police. The suspect then fled the residence, and responding officers were unable to locate the suspect.

Several unknown suspects illegally entered a home in the 1800 block of Warwick Road at noon on March 19, police said. They allegedly entered through a rear bathroom window and ransacked the residence. No suspects were located.

A vehicle burglary occurred in the 1400 block of Virginia Road at 5:21 p.m. on March 20. According to reports, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s locked vehicle by shattering a window and allegedly stealing the victim’s property from the front passenger seat.

The San Marino Police Department had 584 calls for service between Sunday, March 17, and Saturday, March 23. There were two residential burglaries reported during the week. There have been 12 residential burglaries reported so far this year. Information was gathered from a department memorandum summarizing key incidents handled during this period.
