San Marino resident Meshell “Mimi” Sohl has a lot to celebrate.

Not only is she marking the fifth anniversary of her Pasadena jewelry business Mimi et Cie, she’s expanding the store and soon unveiling a new “shop-in-shop” Baume & Mercier boutique.

“The past five years have been such a wonderful experience for me,” Sohl said. “I truly love helping my clients celebrate milestones and important occasions with the gift of beautiful jewelry.”

Mimi et Cie, translated in English as Mimi and Company, hosted a party on Nov. 19 to commemorate the business’ fifth anniversary and expansion. Guests were able to drink “Mimi-Tinis” and they snacked on Mimi Morsels by Patina.

She began her business in 2010 with a 300-square-foot store in Pasadena’s Arcade Lane retail shopping location. With the most recent expansion, her store is now 1,000 square feet. Sohl said “a lot of hard work and love” has gone into running her business throughout the years. She draws inspiration for her store from Paris, France, where she was engaged and received jewelry training.
