Jack, Cheng Named High School Tennis All-Americans

Devon Jack and Ryan Cheng, both seniors at San Marino High School, were named 2014-15 High School All-Americans by the National High School Tennis Association.  This prestigious honor goes to the top 50 players in the country who excelled at both the high school level and USTA/ITA events for the 2014-15 school year.

Jack, who has committed to play her college tennis at Brown, was one of just eight Californians who received the award. Cheng has committed to Yale, with just eight boys’ tennis players hailing from the State of California as well.

In order to qualify for consideration, players must have played high school tennis and have a minimum Universal Tennis Rating of 12.0 for boys or 10.0 for girls.  There are three national tennis rating/ranking systems used to rank players, United States Tennis Association, Tennis Recruiting and Universal Tennis Rating.
