The San Marino High School varsity boys’ soccer team suffered its third setback in Rio Hondo League play, falling to visiting Temple City, 3-0, on Monday.
The Titans generated solid plays but were unable to put the ball into the back of the net. The Rams took advantage of defensive miscues to build a 2-0 lead at the half. San Marino controlled the final 40 minutes of play, but the Rams scored on a counter attack early in the second half to put the game out of reach.
San Marino fell to 4-10 on the season, which includes three consecutive losses against South Pasadena, La Cañada and Temple City.
The Titans hosted Monrovia in a league match and remain at home this Friday to take on La Cañada this Friday, Jan. 27, at 3:30 p.m.
