Great News for SMHS Seniors

Each year, some of San Marino High School’s seniors choose to file their college application to be reviewed for early decision or early action. By doing this, students will receive a decision on their college application prior to students who submit for regular decision.

“The students in this photograph represent some of our students who have already been notified of their acceptance through the early action, early decision review,” said Assistant Principal Doug Berry. While many other students may have received early admission or early action, these were reported to SMHS by a record-keeping service. Those who applied using early action can decide to go elsewhere once they know of their remaining options. Also, additional students at SMHS were offered early admission to various schools, including highly selective ones.

“While we typically see our students accepted into the top colleges and universities in the country, it appears this year has been particularly exceptional,” said Superintendent Dr. Alex Cherniss. “I can’t be more proud of our teachers, counselors, administration, and of course our amazing students.”
