Barger Set to Win Race for District 5 Seat

San Marino resident Kathryn Barger appears slated to cruise to re-election to the District 5 seat on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors after this week’s primary.
Barger, who was first elected in 2016, had 134,244 votes tabulated as of press time this week, giving her nearly 60% of the vote among three total candidates. This puts her well ahead of the threshold of half-plus-one of the vote to automatically make her the victor.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as a Los Angeles County supervisor,” Barger said in a statement. “I look forward to continuing my work tackling the important issues facing communities throughout the 5th district and the county of Los Angeles.”
Barger celebrated her re-election at Hotel Constance in Pasadena.
