Muse/ique recently returned to the Huntington Library, Art Museum and Gardens on for a lively, music set titled “Whittier Boulevard.”
The performance was billed as a representation of “what happens when a fusion of sounds is filtered through Mexican American culture to become something entirely new.”
The evening, which included a dazzling display of vintage cars and low riders, was “a life-affirming tribute to the grooving Chicano sounds that form the heartbeat of Los Angeles.”
Up next for Muse/ique will be a concert titled “Hollywood and Vine” on Aug. 17 and 18, as the group continues to explore the unique musical influences throughout the city of Los Angeles.
