The Chinese Club of San Marino is offering SMHS students $1,000 scholarships in three categories: Performance Arts, Athletics and Community Service.
Eligibility Requirements and guidelines include:
• Applicant must be a junior or senior at the San Marino High School at the time of the application;
• Applicant must maintain at least a 3.3 GPA or higher, with transcript;
• Applicant must have engaged in or completed at least two community service events prior to application, with evidence of participation (certificates, photographs, or signed documentation by school counselors or advisers);
• Applicant must submit an essay addressing why applicant should be awarded the scholarship; and
• The scholarship will be awarded based on applicant’s ability to demonstrate his or her accomplishments, commitment to athletics, engagement on intercultural issues, or quality of the essay.
